Participants will make a couple of cereal-sized leaf bowls! These bowls will be microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe. All materials are provided to press a leaf into the clay to preserve the beauty of the leaf veins. Attendees may return in a couple weeks following the workshop to help finish and glaze the bowls for firing.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes they don’t mind getting dirty. Aprons will be available. Class is limited to people ages 14 and up. Workshop fee includes both sessions and all materials.

This summer, getaway to the Ozarks for the Bluegrass & Fried Chicken festival at the Ozark Folk Center State Park in scenic Mountain View, Arkansas for two days of timeless music and good old-fashioned fun on August 23 & 24! The festival includes a Friday evening concert, a Saturday matinee, and a Saturday evening performance featuring IMBA award-winners Authentic Unlimited, SPGMA International Bluegrass Band Champions The Waddington Brothers, and more at the park's 1,000-seat indoor music venue, Ozark Highlands Theater.

The park's scenic hilltop restaurant will serve its famous fried chicken buffet in-between bluegrass shows at the Ozark Folk Center's 1,000-seat indoor music venue on Friday and Saturday. (All-you-can-eat buffets are sold separately, sorry.)
