Join Devil’s Den State Park and the Ozark Off-Road Cyclists for a family-friendly weekend at the 36th Annual Ozark Mountain Bike Festival. This is an excellent opportunity to explore the park's Monument Trails on a guided ride. Various rides will be geared toward a range of skills and experience levels, from beginners to the most seasoned cyclists. There will also be plenty of fun activities, including the “Big Splash Contest," a poker run, and a bike toss contest. We will end Saturday evening with a cookout and ice cream social. Come on out to Devil’s Den, the birthplace of Arkansas mountain biking, and enjoy some sweet singletrack and memory making. Come for the day or stay the whole weekend!
Remember, it is spring, all trails may be muddy. Helmets are required and riders must yield to foot and horse traffic.

One of several waterfalls, Ladderbucket Falls is the featured waterfall in this area. Located on the east side of White Oak Mountain, northeast of Hector and north of Appleton, Arkansas. John Mountain Falls and Pouroff are the other two waterfalls located in the same area. We will also visit Schoolhouse Falls, located close by. Ladderbucket is a 3.5 mile, round trip hike, rated moderate/difficult. The difficult part will be climbing back out of the drainage. Schoolhouse is 1.5 miles, rated moderate. Meet at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville at 8:00 AM or you can meet Glen Pagan at the Country Store in Appleton (20252 AR 124, Atkins, AR) at 8:45 AM. Someone will be at Tucker Coliseum to get you headed to Appleton. Let us know if you are coming and where you will meet us.

We also have the best food of any car show around. If you want dinner it is $10 a plate for Crawfish or Chicken Strips with all the fixing, dessert, and the drink included. Now parking is limited. The show officially starts at 4, but get there early for a great spot. This event is People's Choice judging, and we give awards between 6:15-6:30.

Join us for our 4th Annual Deer Chili Cook-off Fundraiser for the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas!

What to expect: A pint of beer, 10-15 pots of the best dang deer chili you've ever had and the chance to cast your vote for your favorite!
Entry: $50
Over $1000 in prizes, notoriety, good beer, and great fun!
All who enter will win something, the overall winner will win more!
To qualify you must make 2 gallons of chili with 2 pounds of deer meat (ground, cubed or shredded.) We will provide a table, bowls and spoons, and extension cord.
All contestants will get 2 pints of beer and a t-shirt

Have you ever wondered why Bull Shoals Lake is here or why there are trout in the White River? It has to do with a building project that required work around the clock for four years and involved a visit from a president! Discover the history of the Bull Shoals Lake dam and its impact that continues to this day.Meeting Place: Cameron Bluff Overlook

Stroll into some intriguing history of early settlers on what is now Mount Magazine State Park. Guests will also see some of Arkansas’ most scenic landscapes from beautiful Cameron’s Bluff. This hike includes mostly paved surfaces, some uneven terrain, and rock steps. Seasonally appropriate attire, drinking water, sturdy hiking shoes, insect repellent, and sunscreen (although this hike is very shaded), are all highly recommended for this easy hike.
Caution- This hike features high cliffs, some with no railing, so children and pets must be highly supervised by legal guardians at all times.
