Earth Day Pollution Pick-up

Help us celebrate Earth Day by picking up trash around our community!
On April 22nd at 3:30pm, take walk with ARVRLS Clerk, Monica down to the nearby Arkansas River for some Plogging (the act of picking up pollution while walking or jogging).

Don’t forget to bring your supplies! You’ll need a bag, gloves, and your smartphone or paper datasheet. While we are there we will take pictures and collect trash from the Arkansas river banks and submit our data to the Water Heros Ploggers Campaign to raise awareness of the importance to protect our waterways.

Everyone can meet at the River Front Park, located behind Dardanelle City Hall between 3:15 - 3:30, go over project details, then we will make our way to the riverbanks as a group. Our Earthday project is welcome to all, but parental supervision is required for those under 16.

This event is weather permitting- Updates/rainout dates will be posted to the Dardanelle Library’s Facebook page @Arkansas River Valley Library Dardanelle

Mad Science Club

Taking part in a science club is a wonderful way for children to engage with science from an early age. It gives them an introduction to scientific methods, helps them to develop a love of science, and can give them the confidence to continue studying science further in their schooling. We ask that participants arrive promptly and dress for a mess.
