During this kayak tour we will paddle to various areas of interest around the lake and stop for discussion at a few iconic spots. In this workshop, you will learn:
*A complete practice for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being using simple, healing Qigong movements and meditations.
*A routine to develop and enhance feelings of compassion, kindness, and love towards self that naturally radiates toward others.
*The Lotus Flow: a Buddhist Qigong movement to open the heart and increase feelings of empathy, love, and connection to all beings
*A seated loving kindness guided meditation.
This practice amplifies your body’s natural ability to heal and have a healthy heart. This workshop is suitable for all people and you do not need any Qigong experience.
Practicing meditation and Qigong have been shown to decrease migraines, chronic pain, and PTSD and activate the emotional and empathetic processing centers in the brain. Thus creating a feeling of more spaciousness and peace in your life and body.
What to Expect:
*The workshop will begin with an introduction and teaching about Qigong, why it is so amazing, and how you can benefit most from the practice.
*After a short break, we will do the Qigong practice for about an hour. (This standing practice can easily be adapted as a seated practice).
*We will have another short break followed by a Q&A, discussion, and sharing session.
*We will end our time with another short practice and a guided meditation. As we complete our time together, you are invited to share what you learned and experienced with the practice.

*Comfortable workout clothes and tennis shoes.

*Your journal and a pen for note taking.

In this workshop, Chris will demonstrate how to make mugs from coils on the banding wheel the first few minutes of class, then you will be free to make anything of your choice! You’ll also be free to make multiple items while supplies last. At the end of class, students will pick out their glaze color.
Students will get to enjoy making with clay and drink coffee by Nexus Coffee & Creative!!
This class will be held on July 29th from 2-4PM.
The fee ($80) includes tool rental, clay, and 2 kiln firings that get up to over 2200 degrees!
There is a 3-4 week processing period after class where Chris will glaze and fire your creations. They will be returned to Nexus once they are completed.

Learn to can homemade dill pickles! This is for the following date:
> Sunday July 30th from 2:00-3:30pm
In This Class We Will:
> Harvest produce and learn tips to grow your own
> Prepare a recipe together
> Learn to can using the water-bath canning method
> Sample a pre-made jar of what we are making
> Discuss the benefits of growing and preserving your own food
Each Participant Will Receive:
> Your own jar to take home
> The recipe we use + an extra to try yourself
> A list of resources and tips

About us:
NWA CAMP is a group of independent Creators, Artists, Models, and Photographers local to Arkansas. We are a community creating consistent collaborative content. Our space offers unique and accessible education and performance opportunities. Through our local partnerships and mentorship programming, we promote diversity equity and inclusivity in our industry and provide representation for artists of all demographics. We are passionate about providing a safe space for artists, by artists.
Through our open mic series we have been able to see artists of many facets, demographics, and talents live their dreams on stage in a safe and welcoming environment. We have successfully created a stepping stone for artists of all levels of experience to commune and enjoy each others gifts. For this months open mic we wanted to channel the idea of DREAMS through our art. We will have a collection of musicians, dancers, spoken word artists, and comedians. Many of whom will be performing original work, all local to NWA! This event will be free to the public and food and drinks available for purchase through our gracious host! It is our hope we can explore healing, connection, and release through our presence in sharing and receiving this unique exchange of creativity and art. LAKE BENNETT KAYAK TOUR

Meeting Place: Swim Beach
Come explore what makes Lake Bennett unique with the park interpreter! During this kayak tour we will paddle to various areas of interest around the lake and stop for discussion at a few iconic spots. No paddling experience is necessary, but you should be comfortable around water. We will briefly discuss kayaking techniques at the beginning of the program. Space is limited, please reserve your spot at the visitor center. Paddlers are welcome to bring their own watercraft, but registration is required regardless of whether you use a rental kayak or your own to ensure we have enough staff on hand.
