1. Each contestant will build their Lego creation at home and bring it to the library.
2. The contest divisions are as follows: Grades K-1, Grades 2-3, Grades 4-6, Teen/Adult, Team/Family.
3. Only one submission per person in this contest.
4. All entries for this contest must be in the designated area by 1:30 pm.
5. Entries must be your own creation, not a Lego designed kit, project found online, in magazine,
etc.
6. Your creation must consist of Lego building blocks ONLY. No Mega blocks, tinker toys, boxes,
paper, etc. No painting Lego bricks. You will be disqualified.
7. You must build something completely from scratch from your own imagination.
8. It must fit in a 24” x 24” area and can be no taller than 24”.
9. There is no limit to how many Lego building bricks you can use.
10. Include your name and a brief description of your design on a notecard for the judges. Explain your inspiration for your creation. Note cards will be provided for you in the designated space.
11. Judging will be done on the following: Originality/Creativity, Presentation/Aesthetics, Use of Color, Complexity, and adherence to Contest Rules
12. Winners will be announced at the Ice Cream Party at 2pm.
13. After announcement of winners, contestants are to take their creations and bring them back to
their cars and/or out of the pavilion where the contest will take place.
Any creations left in the building after 4:00 pm on the day of the
contest will become the property of the Independence County Library.
14. All judges’ decisions are final.
15. All photos taken at the competition will become property of the Independence County Library and may be used for advertising purposes.
