Northark Challenge: Sporting Clay Competition and Fundraiser
3130 E Ar 16 Hwy, Tilly, AR
The 4th Annual Northark Challenge Clay Shooting Competition is set for Friday, April 4, 2025, at Bear Creek Ranch in Tilly, AR. Hosted by Harness Roofing, this popular event will take place atop a beautiful mountaintop and offers a great opportunity to spend time with clients, reward top employees, or enjoy a day of friendly competition—all while supporting North Arkansas College’s students and their educational journeys.
Before the competition begins, participants will enjoy a delicious barbeque lunch provided by Ricky Morris. The entry fee for a two-person team is $500, with the chance to compete for exciting prizes. Each shooter in the top teams will take home cash prizes: $1,250 for first place, $750 for second, and $500 for third.
In addition to the main competition, there will be a long bird contest and a 50/50 raffle. Raffle tickets are available for $10, with the winner receiving 50% of the total cash raised—typically a few thousand dollars.
Space is limited, and teams are encouraged to register early as spots fill up quickly. All proceeds from the event are tax-deductible and directly benefit student needs at North Arkansas College.

The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Geoffrey Robson, will perform at 7:30 pm on Saturday, April 12, at Arkansas Tech's Witherspoon Auditorium. The concert is sponsored by the Russellville Symphony Guild. Concert tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for students K - 12, and free for Arkansas Tech and University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton students who present a valid college ID.

Join park interpreters for a scenic kayak tour on Bull Shoals Lake as we spend time exploring the shoreline and hopefully spot some wildlife. All gear is provided. Wear clothing that can get wet (dress in layers) and water shoes or sandals. Please bring a water bottle, snacks for the trip, and any necessary gear if the weather is hot or cold (sunscreen, hat, fleece jacket). Children under 13 must be in a tandem boat with an adult. Space is limited! Register in advance at the visitor center or call (870) 445-3629.
