The Pope County Library will be continuing to offer free American Sign Language classes for all ages and abilities, but because of Covid-19 classes will resume through Zoom. Zoom is a free app that is available for Apple and Android phones, tablets, and computers. A web cam or in-device camera will be necessary to receive feedback and correction.

Classes will be taught by Bonny Hill. Bonny received her bachelor of science degree in elementary education and deaf education (K-12) from the University of Arkansas Little Rock, and has taught American Sign Language classes throughout the state for years.

Since the ALS Association Walk to Defeat ALS is now a virtual online event on July 25, we are joining them from Russellville as the Heroes for Helen team to raise awareness and donations by hosting a drive by parade past our house! The parade will start at 10am until 11 am. Please participate by driving by, making signs, honking and waving! Our sweet daughter will have a lemonade stand and be accepting donations for the ALS Association’s mission to find a cure for ALS. Heroes for Helen Team T shirts will be available to purchase in advance. We want to thank the River Valley for their continuing support!
