Virtual Festival of Chairs

Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 6 – 7:30 PM
Hosted by Children's Advocacy Alliance

Online Event

Child abuse doesn’t end in a pandemic, and our services are more needed than ever. We cannot fulfill our mission of providing hope, healing, and a voice for justice for abused and neglected children in our community without you. Your support matters.

As you know, Festival of Chairs is our largest event of the year and generates an incredible amount of awareness and critical funds for children in our community. Amidst growing concerns and increasing cases of COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to hold our signature fundraiser virtually this year.

For over 17 years, Festival of Chairs has been a highlight of the fall season for our community, and while we are disappointed we cannot see you in person this year, we are committed to making this event wonderful! Experience Festival of Chairs like never before – live streamed through Facebook on Thursday, October 22, at 6:00 PM.

The health and safety of our community are cornerstones of the Children’s Advocacy Alliance, and that has never been truer than during this time of uncertainty. Our presence and ability to serve this community are only possible because of YOU, and the support you provide to CAA throughout the year. We may not be able to gather in person this year, but we promise you’ll have a great time! Look for a formal invitation soon and be sure to like us on Facebook for the latest updates.

(If you can’t make the event on October 22 but still want to support kids, visit www.hopeandjustice.org/donate to make a gift securely.)

Book Your Bubble

Friday at 10 – 10:30 AM
Pope County Library System
Hosted by Pope County Library Youth Services and Pope County Library System

Q: Hey! This sounds COOL! Who can I bring?
A: Up to 10 people from your immediate family bubble.

Q: AWESOME! When can we come in?
A: Book your Bubble from 10:00 to 10:30 AM Wednesday, or Friday. Wednesday is preschool story time, and Friday is Music with Mr. Travis.

Q: THIS IS GREAT! Do we just show up?
A: Nope, you need to call to book an appointment. 479.968.4368 you must speak to either Ms. Melanie or Tammy Montjoy.

Q: I'm in! Sign me up for every day of the week!
A: Hold your horses! You can book your family bubble once a month so everybody gets a chance to attend an event.

Q: What are the safety measures?
A: Your family will be required to wear masks--yes even the kids. We will most likely be singing songs which projects germs further so all family members will need to be masked. Your family will be seated 12 feet away from the storytellers. The storytellers will be wearing face shields so that you can hear them read and sing, but still be protected. The event will be held privately in Heritage Hall. We will be filming the event for our virtual story times.

Book Signing

Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 1 - 3 PM
Hughes Community Center
Hosted by Clarissa Seals

Hello beautiful people,

This is my first book signing event for my new release “Fight Afraid”. I am elated to have been able to share some of my deepest darkest moments in life with you all. I feel impelled to share with you the struggles and pit falls I went through as a woman who has been loved but more so abused mentally, physically and emotionally. I took myself down a self sabotaging road... abusing sex and drugs trying to mask the pain I truly felt. Although I felt undeserving, God challenged me to “Fight” even though I was “Afraid”!

Whatever you are facing in life, IS NOT bigger than God and is not Bigger than YOU. You too can Face, Fight and Conquer anything life throws your way!

He did it for me and he will do it for you.

Come join us and grab a personalized signed copy of “Fight Afraid”. It will truly bless your life.

There will be light refreshments served due to covid 19. Mask are REQUIRED to enter the building. Also children are welcome, I know how things can be as a single parent ....

I hope I see you all there !
