Weekend Nature and Wellness Retreat
150 North Skyline Drive, Fayetteville, AR
Jumpstart Your New Year with Peace and Nature Magic on the Mountain
January 10-12, 2025
What better way to welcome in the New Year than with a restful weekend retreat to Mt Sequoyah? The New Year affords a chance for new beginnings, fresh starts, and self-rejuvenation. This retreat will offer an opportunity to escape a stressful, digitized world while allowing you to connect with nature, yourself, and the peace of the mountaintop.
Research has shown that as little as 15 minutes in a forest can improve one’s mood and relieve stress and anxiety. Studies reveal physical, mental, spiritual, and community benefits can be found in nature. We know intuitively that nature nurtures and yet we rarely take the time to allow nature to restore us. This retreat will inspire and empower participants to deepen their understanding of their natural world and their connection with it.
Throughout the weekend, participants will engage in group and solo experiential activities, partnerships with nature, and quiet reflection time. Activities include Forest Bathing, Hiking, Mandala Meditation, Sound Bathing, Nature Journaling, and Haiku Writing. Options will be available for indoor and outdoor nature activities depending on personal preference, physical limitations, or weather. By the close of the retreat, participants will have a greater knowledge of how nature can increase their well-being, skills to enhance their connection with nature, and an individualized nature prescription to promote their health and wellness throughout the upcoming year.
