Night Without a Bed

Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 10 PM – 7 AM
Hosted by Family Promise of Tulsa County
Online Event

WHAT IS NIGHT WITHOUT A BED?
#NightWithoutABed is a social media challenge that raises awareness for families experiencing homelessness. On Saturday, June 20, 2020, the Family Promise Network will join together with our supporters to sleep one night without a bed.

HOW DO I TAKE THE CHALLENGE?
We ask participants to sleep anywhere without a bed: cars, a tent, a treehouse, living room floor, a couch and use the hashtag #NightWithoutABed to post video or photo on social media.

In addition to posting on social media, we ask you to challenge your friends to complete #NightWithoutABed and make a donation to Family Promise of Tulsa County in support of the new "Apartment Shelter Program."

WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?
Every year in America, 2.5 million children experience homelessness in the U.S. These children are three times more likely to be placed in special education programs, eight to nine times more likely to repeat a great, and seven times more likely to die by suicide.

Now with the Coronavirus Pandemic impacting people across the country, low-income families are increasingly at-risk of homelessness, and those experiencing homelessness have less access to spaces to safely practice social distancing.

Sign up for the challenge, learn more, or donate by visiting our website at:
