Going on a Bear Hunt in Pope County!

This is a Facebook group created to help us with cabin fever! It is free and available to anyone that wants to participate. Simply place a teddy bear somewhere that is visible for families to spot from the road! If you participate, please let us know what neighborhood or area you live in (No addresses, please)


Around the World Safari – Virtual Spring Break 2020!

Dates: 3/19/2020 - 3/29/2020

Times: 2pm each day

You can't come to the Zoo?  Let the Zoo come to you!  Join the Little Rock Zoo live via Facebook. You can visit exhibits with zoo keepers during their Virtual Spring Break! Watch as they give up close and personal introductions to the animals.  See corners of the Zoo and explore animals from all over the world right at home!  This event takes place at 2 pm each day. Join their Facebook live as they share fun and engaging education on the animals that call the Little Rock Zoo home. Here’s the schedule through March 29. Be sure to check the page for additional material for the upcoming as well as the past dates! There are printable activity packs to go with each day’s featured animal.

Inside the White House - Virtual Tour

During President Obama’s term, the White House created a 360-degree video tour which can can still be viewed on Facebook. "Inside the White House".

This interactive video allows you to pan around the rooms and the White House lawns. Former President Obama narrates the video, telling some of the history of the rooms and giving you an “insider’s view” of what it’s like to work there.


Nightly Met Opera Streams

The Metropolitan Opera is offering performances on line while their live stages are dark. There is a different encore presentation shown every day that you can watch for 23 hours. This is free (although donations to the Met are greatly appreciated!). Performances are available for streaming at 7:30 p.m. EDT until 6:30 p.m. the following day. This is your opportunity to view some of the greatest opera singers of the past 14 years.

The streams are also available through the Met Opera on Demand apps for Apple, Amazon, and Roku devices and Samsung Smart TV. To access them without logging in, click “Browse and Preview” in the apps for connected TV, and “Explore the App” on tablets and mobile devices.
