The 6th Annual Made in Arkansas Film Festival
100 River Market Ave, Little Rock, AR
The Made in Arkansas Film Festival returns to CALS Ron Robinson Theater for its sixth year on May 17-19, 2024. The film festival showcases the work of Arkansas filmmakers working here and all over the country. “Made in Arkansas is about cultivating Arkansas filmmakers. Our festival screens more Arkansas filmmakers than any other festival in the state,” said Festival Director Johnnie Brannon. “We provide an opportunity for filmmakers to meet each other, view each other’s work, and build networks that hopefully lead to even more Arkansas-made films.”
Brannon credits Made in Arkansas’s partnership with the Central Arkansas Library System as a huge factor in the festival’s success. “The screen and sound quality in the Ron Robinson Theater are second to none. As a filmmaker, there are few things as exciting as sitting with an audience and watching your film up on the big screen. We love working with CALS to showcase the incredible work being done by filmmakers, actors, and creatives across the state.”

May Blues Jam
Last Sunday afternoon I was all about being bummed out because I couldn’t make it to the April Blues Jam. Then my cardiologist showed up with some humorous yet profound words for me. He said, “Today is a good day! It’s better to be seen than to be viewed”. That being said, I’m really looking forward to “seeing” all my Bluesy friends at the Riverfront Blues Society’s May Blues Jam at the Bakery District in Fort Smith on Sunday the 19th! Although you may have had a good excuse for missing the last jam, you really need to make it to the May Blues Jam. Supporting Live Music is all about being Alive and feeling the heartbeat of those around you!

A little about PaintCraft Studio:
"Hey there, I'm Tylor Adair, a 34-year-old artist, graphic designer, and the proud owner of Paintcraft Studio; a vibrant paint party business. By day, I dive into the world of graphic design, and by night and on weekends, I pour my heart and soul into my family and exploring this creative venture.
Art pulses through my veins; it's not just a passion but a way of life. The urge to channel my creativity into a business has always burned within me. Witnessing a local hunger for engaging activities sparked the birth of Paintcraft Studio.
My journey began years ago, teaching art classes in Branson. With time, I realized I could curate this experience myself. Now, nearly a year into this adventure, I find immense joy in guiding enthusiasts through the art of painting, unveiling hidden talents and untapped creativity that even surprise themselves."
